An occupational therapist (OT) assists patients in regaining and developing their normal day-to-day routine. Due to surgery, injury, illness, or disability, a patient may find daily living more challenging to pursue. Through common occupational therapy treatments, patients can fully participate again in the community and social situations.
A care plan will be developed by an OT under the direction and supervision of a physician. Over time, the care plan will be modified to fit the current improvements of a patient.
SERVICES INCLUDE:
- Home evaluation to determine current condition and realize personal goals
- Intervention programs that help improve the ability to perform Activities of Daily Living
- Outcomes evaluation to be modified upon improvement
